I know this isn't exactly Rainbow Six 3 related, but I assume it's still generally related because of the franchise. Has anyone gotten Rogue Spear to work on windows 10? I can manage to get it to the menu screen by dumping the D3Dlmm.dll and DDraw.dll files from a voodoo graphics card wrapper into the Rogue Spear directory, but the text is beyond ♥♥♥♥ed up, it's completely unreadable. Has anyone been able to get the actual game running AT ALL under Windows 10? It worked for me on Windows 7, so I'm wondering what the problem is for W10. I don't own it any more so I can't tinker to get it to work sadly but if you can, look into Vbox it's a free and open source emulation tool that can run Win XP which I had when I played Rogue Spear. I think you still had to run it in compatability though. Whenever I run it in compatibility mode for anything I always get a generic 0x000142 something something error. This wrapper fix sounds interesting, maybe there is a way to get the text to be clear. If you want try the registry patch -->I have Win 10 x64 and I didn't require any registry patches of any sort. I had a very similar text problem with the original Killing Floor that reinstalling DX9 stuff fixed. Do you know which redistributables I would need for RS Rogue Spear? It should use the same ones, probably all under _commonredist or something like that.

If I remember correctly, the EXE for Rogue Spear is the same as Raven Shield but with a parameter. I'll check later for you. Keep in mind, it may look a bit different since I have it on UPlay. And I also dont see how this dude would have the game on uplay if it isnt even available on uplay. Either that or they have x86 windows 10 but they are too nub to really know the difference. If they provided an actual explination I would believe it but this wishi-washi ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t of 'it works like nothing' 'I own it on Uplay' stuff is just too uninformative and uncredible. I recommend cutting this blind bat chase they are putting you on and just Googling 'PC gaming wiki' and going to the Rogue spear page for an actual solution.
